Prof. Rees Kassen

Position/payment: Hourly paid positions and stipends available, as well as work study. Highly encourage applying for external support although in some instances funds may be available through the lab.

Prof. Jon Sakata

Time: throughout the year

Description: We have a number of research positions available throughout the year. Undergraduates in my lab participate in behavioral testing, histology, microscopy, and bioacoustic analysis. Undergraduates are also actively involved in animal husbandry and maintenance. Experience with animals or lab/computational techniques is useful but not essential. Preference is given to students who want to conduct research throughout the academic year.

Position/payment: Work study/volunteer. Preference for work study students or for students to enroll in a research course. Students with USRAs and SURAs welcome over the summer.

Emma Schubert - Master’s student in ricciardi lab

Time: Summer 2024

Description: Summer undergraduate research assistantship in aquatic invasion ecology with the Ricciardi Lab alongside graduate students, 1-2 spots available. This is an amazing opportunity to experience summer fieldwork and to learn what it's like to be a grad student in ecology research. Students that are Canadian citizens or permanent residents in U2/U3 with a 3.7+ cGPA and field/lab work experience will be prioritized due to funding eligibility.

Position/payment: It is preferred that the student be eligible for NSERC or USRA, or they must be eligible for SURA.
